Christine Blakely sees the down side of being a WAG If she didn’t know it before she does now; Christine Blakely discovered yesterday that there is another side to being a WAG; one that is less about glamour and luxury and more about standing by your man in difficult times.

The famous TV presenter was in the stands watching her boyfriend, Frank Lampard, playing for Chelsea in their game against Bolton. Chelsea managed to secure their first win in a long time. However, the reaction of the crowd to Lampard’s performance manifested itself in the solemn look on Blakely’s face.

It also showed in the body language of Frank Lampard Senior, who sat watching the game next to Christine. Himself a former West Ham player and assistant manager, Frank Lampard senior is not new to the fickle, moody nature of football supporters. Nevertheless, he looked angry and crossed his arms while witnessing the fans’ disapproving reception of his son’s performance.

The game was Frank Lampard’s first  appearance for Chelsea after a spell on the sideline because of injury. And despite the win, thanks to Florent Malouda’s 61st minute goal, the supporters remained less than convinced by their team’s current form.

Frank will no doubt find consolation in the presence of his girlfriend. As she watched him play, the 31 years old TV Presenter was wearing a beige Mac and a black polo neck and clutched a brown handbag. Perhaps Frank can hope for more loving eyes from the crowd in the coming matches if Chelsea regains their verve on the pitch. But, unlike Christine and Frank's apparent steady relationship, the romance between the crowd and Chelsea's star player might end up with more than a few fans left unsatisfied. Instead of watching Chelsea perhaps they would prefer to start dating again, a few new girlfriends out there could be happy not to become football widows, for a short while at least.

Despite the doubtlessly awkward moments in the stadium all is going fine with Frank. The couple has been together for almost a year. Celebrating Christmas early, the couple were spotted coming out of an exclusive night club in London at 3am. Merry and rather sleepy, they jumped into a taxi and headed home.

Christine Bleakley turns out to watch Lampard play Christine Bleakley is now officially a WAG after she went out to the Stamford Bridge game yesterday evening to show her support for Chelsea boyfriend and striker Frank Lampard.

Bleakley’s appearance at the game last night shows that their relationship is moving along nicely.  She even brought a friend with her, Amanda Holden, who showed up clear support of the other team with an Everton scarf wrapped around her neck.

On the other hand, Bleakley has not yet gone the full length of being a WAG, as she showed up with Christian Louboutin heels obviously more concerned about fashion and the photo ops that were to come.

Unfortunately, her appearance did not send any luck Lampard’s way as the team drew with Everton 3-3.

Although speculation was flying about a relationship between Lampard and Bleakley for months, the couple only confirmed its status during last month after being careful to slowly advance their relationship.

The pair met each other at the ITV1 Pride of Britain awards last October and has been spotted often at the Chelsea Hollywood Arms and the North London Harvester restaurant.

Lampard is recently split from former Elen Rives with whom he has two daughters with, Isla age two and Luna age four.

Rives is not taking time to bask in the sorrow however, as she kicked off the new Diamond Boutique lingerie line designed by Michelle Mone last month.

Holden on the other hand just finished completing work on a midwife documentary due to air on ITV.

Despite the fact that footballer Frank Lampard is now heavily involved in a relationship with Christine Bleakley, his old girlfriend and the mother of his daughters, Elen Rivers, has stated that she is still in love with him.

Elen Rivers, a former model, was out of the county when news broke that Lampard was now involved with Bleakley, but Rivers took the time to mention in an interview that she was hoping the rumours would turn out to be false since she is not ‘over him’ yet.

Rivers went on to say that after seven years together and two children who remind her of him, it is impossible to get over him because she is reminded of his impact on her life every day.

Rivers currently lives with her and Lampard’s two daughters aged four and two in a large house overlooking Chelsea Harbour that was purchased for her by Lampard for a reported £2.85m.

She also admitted in the interview that she is struggling as a single mother and that her break up with him was devastating. The couple was engaged just eight months ago when they split and Rivers stated that since then she has been hoping that reconciliation might in their future.

Rivers put a halt on their wedding after Lampard was seen with two other women.

According to Rivers, when she found out about the other women she cried for days heartbroken over the fact and that the thought of beginning another relationship was the farthest thing from her mind.
