If Victoria Beckham plans to fit in while she is in Paris she is going to have to fit in with the WAG that runs everything in Paris; which is a rather tough task given the fact that Queen Bee Helena Seger is known as an icy cold businesswoman. Posh is scheduled to meet the blonde Swedish woman at Paris Saint-Germain, David Beckham’s new club, when he plays against Marseille on Sunday.

PSG sources are warning that Seger is hard to impress, but given the fact that Seger is basically like the Posh of France, she is not someone that Posh will want to get on the wrong side of either if she hopes to fit in with a new group of WAGs.

A source close to Seger states that she is known as the Beckham of Paris, and as such she is not going to be happy at all that the real Beckham is encroaching on her grounds and stealing the spotlight away. She is the partner of Zlatan Ibrahimovic the striker who also admits that she can be an intimidating presence, but if Beckham is going to fit in she will need to attempt to befriend her in some way.

Seger is said to be a very shrewd woman that is elegant, classy, and comes from a well known and reputable family. However, despite this fact she carved her own way in the world and made her own riches based on her ambition.

In France Seger is known for her fashion sense which also might pit her against Beckham who of course is becoming a household name across the world for her fashion house. Chances are high that these two will either bond over their similarities or end up embattled in a huge rivalry throughout David’s time with the club.

Tony Sage, the Perth Glory owner, has decided to give up on his goal of getting David Beckham to come and play for Australia after a chance meeting between the two occurred last week in London.

Sage happened to bump into Beckham during the Spice Girls inspired new stage show that premier at the O2 Arena in London. He explained that he was rebuffed by Beckham when he asked the England captain if he might be considering a move down to the south.

Sage who was a special guest of Mel B, stated that he had the chance to chat with David for a second and asked the football star if he had ever thought about coming to play for Australia. He went on to say that Beckham clearly looked him in the eye and said it was a nice idea but would be too far away from his businesses.

Beckham is in the process of scouting for a new club after he decided to call it quits on his five year stint with the LA Galaxy team in America last month. After the announcement was released the Football Federation of Australia claimed that they were negotiating with his agent.

There is much speculation that David and Victoria Beckham are going to be returning to the United Kingdom now David has finished playing football in Los Angeles. Victoria has reportedly been spotted house hunting in London and the couple have said in the past they were keen for their children to complete their education in England.

A source close to the couple has recently commented, “They have been looking to buy a home for some time now. They have been waiting for the right property to come along but now that David has finished his contract with LA Galaxy Victoria has been hunting for a family home in earnest.

They will be hoping that history doesn’t repeat itself as they lost a lot of money when they sold their last home in Hertfordshire before they made the move to LA. They bought the house back in 1999 and reportedly paid £2.5m but then spent around £ 18m on renovations and by they time they sold it the house had swimming pools, tennis courts, a gym, a studio and a petting zoo.

Victoria has an apartment in London that she kept for when she was making flying visits to the capital for her fashion business, and whether they hang onto this prime piece of property is uncertain, although the certainly won’t need to sell it to raise funds for their new home.

If you are a top footballer of the class and calibre of David Beckham and your children have aspirations of following in your footsteps, then it is obvious that you are going to worry. David Beckham has been talking about this to Esquire magazine. David and his wife, Victoria, have three sons and a daughter together and he says that sometimes expectations are high when it comes to the boys playing football.

Thirty-seven-year old David thinks that there is a lot of pressure on the boys, thirteen-year-old Brooklyn, Romeo, nine, and Cruz, seven. He says that if they go for a trial, then people think that they should be able to play just like their dad. He adds, however, that he doesn’t think that they feel the pressure and are confident enough to take it in their stride.

David was also talking about stripping off for advertising campaigns. He says that it is not as difficult for him now as it once was and that it has become easier for him over the years. He remembers that it was quite daunting, at first, seeing big posters of himself on the sides of buildings in places like New York.

Britain’s first football team to appear in the Olympics since the year 1960 is being picked specially for this summer’s Olympic Games. David Beckham, one of prospective squad players that are allowed to be of any age, is still in contention for a place in the squad.

Stuart Pearce, the Olympic football team manager has shortened his player list from 191 down to just 80 since January. The 18 squad players names are expected to be announced by June.

Beckham, now a midfielder for Los Angeles Galaxy team, has previously expressed the desire to be part of the London Games team despite the fact that his England team career is effectively over. Former England captain, Beckham made 115 appearances for England. This is the most appearances of any outfield player for England, the last of which occurred in October 2009.

Britain hasn’t had a football team in the Olympics for over 50 years as Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales all feared losing FIFA independence. The federation has assured teams that their FIFA status will not be affected if they partake in the competition, although a combined team has still been blocked. Pearce is still hoping to include players from across the UK.

The 80-strong shortlist includes Liverpool’s Welsh striker Craig Bellamy, Gareth Bale, Tottenham’s winger, Scottish striker Stephen Fletcher who plays for Wolverhampton Wanderers and Chris Brunt, a midfielder for West Bromwich Albion.

Apart from David Beckham, there are another four English possible player’s names that have been disclosed. Joe Cole, Liverpool’s 30 year old midfielder on loan to Lille, Jack Butland, Josh McEachran and defender for Crystal Palace, Nathaniel Clyne are all still on the list.

Britain’s first women’s football team is also set to star in the London Games later this year. Both teams are going to be playing friendlies as warm-ups for the July 25th tournament start date.
